Faldo Junior Tour makes Portugal debut in Madeira

Marking the first Faldo Junior Tour tournament to be held in Portugal, the competition will take place from October 16-18 at Clube de Golf Santo da Serra.

Young golfers will compete in a highly competitive junior field alongside some of the best junior players from around the world, with the chance to qualify for both the World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR) and European Golf Ranking (EGR).

Sir Nick Faldo’s Faldo Series was launched in 1996 and has since become one of the world’s largest and most successful junior golf competitions. It was created with the vision of building a lasting legacy in junior golf whilst helping to develop the champions of tomorrow.

The tournament will be played on the Machico & Desertas composite course and is open to boys and girls aged 13-21 with an official handicap. The winner of each age category will qualify for the all expenses paid 30th Faldo Junior Tour European Grand Final, which will be held at Al Ain Equestrian, Shooting & Golf Club, in the UAE, in November 2026.

Entry to the competition is €160 and includes three tournament rounds, one practice round, and a daily halfway bar available at the clubhouse serving sandwiches, water, juices, and fruit. An additional fixed daily lunch menu is available for €20 per person, as well as additional practice rounds may be booked, and preferential green fees will apply.
