Ana Cristina Serro, Maria Vitória Silva and João Ivo de Carvalho are Algarve champions
All three Casinos do Algarve golf tournaments held this year as part of the XIII Casinos Solverde Circuit were very successful events. The first competition, the 17th Algarve Casino Tournament (Praia da Rocha), was held in May at the Oceânico Faldo course in Alcantarilha and on the Onyria Palmares in Lagos. Ana Cristina Serro was the winner with 74 points. The 15th Casino Monte Gordo Tour nament took place in June at the Quinta da Ria/Quinta de Cima courses in Cacela and Maria Vitória Silva won with 72 points. The final event was the 15th Casino de Vilamoura Tournament held in July at the Oceânico Old Course and Oceânico Victoria courses in Vilamoura where the winner was João Ivo de Carvalho with an impressive 78 points. Joel Pais, administrator of Casinos do AlgarveSolverde, has confirmed that the three tournaments were a great success. The winners of the three events and all other finalists a total of 60 have qualified for the national final of the XIII Casinos Solverde Circuit to be staged in November at the legendary Oporto Golf Club course in.
