Now in its ninth edition, the annual event takes place on September 3, with over 100 players expected to participate

The ninth edition of Pink Ladies Day will return to Pestana Silves Golf Course on September 3, bringing golfers together once again in support of the Algarve Oncology Association (AOA).
Launched in 2018, the charity event has raised €52,000 for the association over its first eight editions. What began with 80 participants and €4,000 raised now attracts around 120 women each year, with players traditionally taking to the course dressed in pink.
Funds raised through the event support the AOA’s cancer screening and early diagnosis work across the Algarve, including mobile screening services which travel to communities throughout the region, aiming to improve access to screening and increase the chances of cancers being detected at an early stage, when treatment can be more effective.
“We are incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported Pink Ladies Day over the years,” said organiser Ria Raap. “Every donation, no matter how large or small, helps us support the vital work of the Algarve Oncology Association.”
