The Open Stableford tournament returns on August 9 to honour the renowned golf course architect

Santo António Golf will host the annual Pepe Gancedo Trophy on Sunday, August 9, paying tribute to José Gancedo Gómez, the celebrated golf course architect behind the Algarve course’s original design.
The competition will be played in an Open Stableford format, with a shotgun start at 9am. Participation is open to golfers with a valid handicap certificate, with the maximum handicap set at 28 for men and 36 for women.
Players will compete for a range of prizes, including Best Stableford Score, Best Gross, Nearest the Pin, Straightest Drive and Hole in One.
