A record 142 competitors from across the world took part in the 7th Oceânico World Kids Golf Championship held this summer at Oceânico’s Amendoeira Faldo and O’Connor courses. The Boy’s Under 18 Gross category was won by Portuguese Cristiano Marcela while England’s Alex Hellewell was runnerup. The Boys and Girls under 16 Gross categories winners were Englishman George Ounstead and local superstar, Sara Gouveira respectively. Chris Stilwell, Oceânico Golf’s CEO was delighted with the 2015 competition. “This year has once again raised the bar, with record entries, families attending and seriously impressive golf. Congratulations to the winners and the entire field.”
