Espiche Golf continues a two-year programme of improvements to the course

Improving the game

— October 4, 2026

Espiche Golf is continuing a two-year investment programme aimed at improving playing conditions and the overall experience for golfers, with a series of upgrades already completed or under way across the course.

Among the largest projects is a €150,000 investment in upgrading the buggy paths over two years, designed to improve accessibility, safety, and comfort in different playing conditions.

The club is also updating its buggy fleet, replacing 40 batteries and adding five new buggies, alongside 10 new electric trolleys and 15 new sets of golf clubs. New machinery is also being introduced for the course maintenance team.

Work on the course itself continued during summer 2026, with improvements to the irrigation system focused on long-term reliability and more efficient water use.

Work on the 5th hole tees has also been completed, including the replacement of irrigation pipes and sprinklers, an extension of the yellow tees, and the installation of a protective membrane beneath the turf to prevent roots from surrounding trees and vegetation affecting the playing surface.

The maintenance fleet has meanwhile gained a new CASE backhoe loader and an electric greens mower, both now fully operational.

With the programme extending over two years, the improvements represent an ongoing investment in Espiche’s course infrastructure, maintenance, and golfing experience, with sustainability and water efficiency remaining central to the club’s plans.
