International championships and national competitions will bring golfers to the region throughout 2027

The Portuguese Golf Federation (FPG) has unveiled the competition schedule for 2027, with the Algarve once again reaffirming its position as one of Portugal’s leading golf destinations. The region will host six events across the national calendar, including international championships and key domestic competitions, highlighting the important role Algarve courses continue to play in Portuguese golf.
The Algarve’s programme begins on January 9–10, when Quinta do Vale hosts the opening event of the Mid-Amateur & Senior Circuit. Later that month, Penina Hotel & Golf Resort welcomes the 98th Portuguese International Ladies Amateur Championship (January 27–30), before Amendoeira Golf Resort stages the 98th Portuguese International Men’s Amateur Championship from February 10–13.
The region also features prominently later in the season. Penina will host the National Mid-Amateur Club Championship on June 5–6, followed by the fifth event of the AQUAPOR Circuit on July 17–18, further cementing its place on the national golfing calendar.
Elsewhere in Portugal, the 2027 schedule includes a wide range of national championships, ranking tournaments and international competitions. Highlights include the National Amateur Championship at Royal Óbidos in June, the 65th Open de Portugal PGA at Aroeira 1 in September and the Portuguese Senior Men’s International Championship at Estoril Golf Club in November.
The calendar also features six AQUAPOR Circuit events, five National Ranking tournaments and five Mid-Amateur & Senior Circuit competitions, promising another busy year for competitive golf across the country.
