The tournament is open to both amateurs and professionals

The Vilamoura Pro-Am made its debut this year, from February 10-14, bringing together 84 players from 17 countries to compete on three of the Algarve’s most iconic courses. Professional and amateur golfers not only participated in the competition but also enjoyed a variety of “energising evening entertainment and prize-giving” events.
Following its successful inaugural edition, the tournament will return for a second edition from February 2-6, 2026. The competition is set to reach new heights, with rounds scheduled to take place at the new Els Club Vilamoura – scheduled to open in July this year –, as well as at the prestigious Old Course Vilamoura and Pinhal Vilamoura.
The iconic Old Course remains one of the most sought-after golfing destinations, renowned for its rich heritage and modern upgrades. Its latest enhancements, including the integration of cutting-edge TrackMan technology on the driving range and an upgraded clubhouse, have further elevated the guest experience, reinforcing its status among Portugal’s premier courses.
For those interested in next year’s tournament, organisers aim to provide an immersive experience both on and off the course, with a week packed with social events, including a welcome reception, a dinner and drinks party, and a gala dinner to celebrate the tournament’s conclusion.
Both professionals and amateurs are encouraged to register for the 2026 event. Players can enter with their own teams of four, including a professional, or register individually and be assigned to a team.
