Golfers can indulge in a new dining experience at Quinta do Lago from this summer after the reopening of the resort’s main golf clubhouse following a makeover of the space

The clubhouse, which serves Quinta do Lago’s North and South courses, has undergone a comprehensive upgrade over the last six months.

Undertaken by local Portuguese architects Essencia Architects, the renovation is one of a number of improvements being made at the resort over the coming months as part of a €7 million golf investment programme.

Among the upgrades made to the clubhouse, spacious new eating areas have been designed indoors and outdoors to create a contemporary new look, with the renovated rooms providing the perfect hub for golf groups, golf tournaments and business meetings.

In addition, the outdoor space has been enhanced and expanded, and furnished with a modern, attractive and environmentally-friendly decking area, while new floor-to-ceiling windows have been installed throughout the building to add increased light and deliver improved views of the resort surroundings.

Golfers will also benefit from the installation of new men’s and women’s changing rooms while there are plenty of mouth-watering dishes and snacks to savour on the new-look breakfast and lunch menu, from traditional favourites such as a club sandwich and fish and chips to more adventurous creations like a Moo Pie with Guinness gravy.

Sean Moriarty, chief executive at Quinta do Lago, said: “The clubhouse is an essential part of any golf club or resort, and it was important for us to put in place a vibrant and contemporary design that reflects the modern-day image and aspirations of Quinta do Lago.

“We’re thrilled with the work that has taken place and the final outcome. I’m sure that the new building will become a firm favourite with all our golfers and families.”
