Algarve club wins 18th title after defeating Oporto at Vidago Palace

The National Club Championship took place from September 5 to 8, 2024, at the Vidago Palace course in northern Portugal.
In a fiercely contested final, the men’s team from Vilamoura Golf Club triumphed over four-time champions Oporto Golf Club with a 4-3 victory, marking a significant return to the top for the Algarve-based side.
This win is Vilamoura’s first national title since 2017, adding to their impressive tally, now standing at 18 trophies.
The victorious Vilamoura team included Alexander Amey, Martim Pinto Johansen, Alexandre Castelo, João Crasi Alves, Jamie Mann, Tiago Abrantes, and Francisco Reis.
Miramar Golf Club claimed third place in the men’s competition. In the women’s competition, Miramar Golf Club captured their third National Championship title, edging past Oporto Golf Club with a 3-2 win.
