Quinta do Peru Golf & Country Club’s has just been nominated for a leading World Golf Award for the second year in succession. The famous layout has again been shortlisted as ‘Portugal’s Best Golf Course’ at the 2015 awards ceremony to be held at Quinta do Lago in in November.
Framed by the Arrábida Natural Park, Quinta do Peru near Lisbon – which is managed by ORIZONTE – Lisbon Golf – is rated in the Top 100 courses in Continental Europe by the prestigious Golf World magazine. Opened in 1994, the parkland layout meanders through verdant pines and provides a 6,640-yard test, with astute bunkering and true-rolling, quick greens offering a good examination of any putting stroke.

The World Golf Awards – part of World Travel Awards – celebrates and rewards excellence in golf tourism, world-class courses and golf destinations. Votes are cast by professionals working within the golf travel and tourism industry – senior executives, travel buyers, tour operators, agents and media professionals – and members of the public, online at the World Golf Awards website. Voting closes on September 27 and winners will be announced at a ceremony at the Conrad Algarve, on Saturday 7 November.
