Santo Antonio Golf opened in 1987 as Parque da Floresta and has marked its 30th anniversary with the inaugural Pepe Gancedo Trophy competition. At the event’s prize-giving dinner Michael Brown, Parque da Floresta’s first golf director, paid tribute to their famous Spanish course architect the late Pepe Gancedo. Portugal PGA President, José Correia presented prizes to the Anniversary winners (pictured) and the winner’s trophy was awarded to Francisco Borges who returned a nett score of 38 Stableford points while Steve Juster claimed best Stableford gross prize. With various awards for nearest the pin and longest drive it was a memorable anniversary for everyone at the prestigious Algarve club.
