Oceânico Group Chairman Chris Howell is the new President at the prestigious Vilamoura Golf Club in central Algarve. Founded in 1969 and with over 1000 members it is the largest club in Portugal and the new president has expressed delight at his appointment. “I am proud and honoured to have been named President of the Vilamoura Golf Club. The relationship between the Oceânico Group and Vilamoura Golf Club has always been a close one, and I look forward to making it even closer during my time as President.” The club counts among its members the biggest Portuguese names in modern professional golf including European Tour winner Ricardo Santos and 2015 Road to Oman winner Ricardo Melo Gouveia, who is now playing his first season on the European Tour and is already ranked inside the world’s top 100. The new president looks forward to even more future success for the famous Algarve club.
