Golf Santo António’s 2017 Autumn Festival ran over six days and attracted over 600 entries for the events including, singles, pairs and an Am-Am competition. A prize-giving with Gala Dinner concluded the event and the winners of the Santo Antonio Cup were Wendy Harnett in the ladies’ category while Bruno Vicente took the men’s prize. Maria Dawson and Ross Hetherington claimed the Owners’ Trophy and the Challenge Cup was won by Chris Suckling and Basil McKeon. This latest Golf Santo António festival event was voted a fantastic success and plans are now in place for the next 2017 Christmas event. The Christmas Festival is open to all with a special green fee rate of just €25 per competition plus entry fee where applicable. The programme includes a Texas Scramble Shotgun on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Day followed by The Newland Trophy – Greensomes on Boxing Day.
