Wicked delights of the Devil’s Parlour at Pine Cliffs
The Sheraton Pine Cliffs golf course is a terrific 9 hole course and the par-3 sixth, Devil’s Parlour, is known as a great challenge in a spectacular setting. However, this hole is now even more memorable! Tony Bennett, PGAs of Europe, Director of Golf Education, and former golf professional, presided over the official inauguration of the newly renovated hole. Having played over 12,000 different holes, Tony can appreciate this unique hole and he recalls first playing Pine Cliffs in 1997. “Standing on the tee certainly left an impression on me as I first took in the wonderful panorama.”
Tony Bennett congratulated the greens staff for their “superb” work while encouraging all players to “soak in the vista, take a photograph or two, and then play off the tee that is most appropriate to the level of their play.” He also stressed how Devil’s Parlour complements the whole experience of Pine Cliffs. “The course allows players to test all parts of their game and does not take too long to play and then enjoy the other on-site facilities.” Now that Devil’s Parlour has been so skilfully renovated with the construction of a replacement tee, golfers are more likely than ever to savour a heavenly experience no matter the outcome of their foray into the challenges of Devil’s Parlour.
