Amendoeira Golf Resort is once again staging the prestigious Oceânico World Kids Golf Championship for boys and girls this year from the 25th to 29th July. For golfers between the ages of 7 to 18 this international competition – the eighth edition – promises to showcase the best of junior golf and is sure to be a fantastic experience for young golfers. All players must be able to play to appropriate handicaps or scoring ability and handicaps will be officially accountable both nationally and internationally with the under 18 category earning World Amateur Golf Ranking points. For age under 10 the suggested handicap max. is 36; for under 12 and under 14 the suggested max. is 24; and for under16 & under 18 the suggested handicap max. is18. Scoring ability guidelines in line with suggested handicaps are also available from Oceânico Golf and parents and juniors can contact Oceânico for information and guidance.
