Golf Santo António, at Parque da Floresta, recently staged a memorable Easter Festival with a great variety of events including Texas Scramble, Pairs Better Ball, Dubai and Am Am competitions. The proud winners of the Stock Pot competition, Gill Andrews and Andrew Stephenson are pictured here basking in the spring sunshine and also the status being very worthy winners of their event.
The final day was marked by a packed prize-giving dinner and celebration in the Clubhouse Spike Restaurant where event winners and individual spot prize recipients were presented with awards. Afterwards, everyone in attendance – golfers and non-playing guests – thoroughly enjoyed the music and dancing courtesy of the Golf Santo António club’s arrangement of live entertainment and ‘The Links’ band created a very appropriate celebratory atmosphere.
Golf Manager, Rui Gloria is justifiably proud of the event’s success at yet another distinguished Santo António occasion: “Once again we are absolutely delighted with the support given to this event by both members and visitors for which I would like to personally thank them”.
The next major club event is the Autumn Festival being held from the 22nd until the 27th of September, inclusive. In the meantime, there are the twice-weekly competitions, also open to visitors, and which regularly attract in excess of 50 players.
